The film Industry

Production

The first thing you have to do when producing a film is to come up with an idea. You don't have to have everything figured out right away, but having some kind of idea how your film is going to be about. Once you have come up with your idea  you should start to build off it. One good way of doing this is brainstorming off of the idea until it has a clear beginning middle and end.
This would be a good place to start story-boarding. this could either be done on a large scale, on the main scenes put in the story-board, or on a small scale, the all the scenes are set out onto the story-board.
After all this has been done you can consider getting your cast and crew. Your crew includes the director, the sat designer, sound man, costume designer, hair and make-up e.t.c.
Once all of this is in order you can dress the set or scout locations. Then you can film your movie.
After filming you have to edit your film, once that is done you can add music and special effects.

Marketing

There are many different ways in which you can market your film such as trailers and posters they give the target audience an idea of what the movie might be about and whether they would like to watch it. Posting things on social networking sites might get people talking about your film.

Exibition

The film may be shown in a movie premier if the movie is made by a large production company. if it is not made by a large film company it may be shown i a film festival where a large audience will be able to see it.

Production, distribution, marketing an exhibition homework.

Make a story
Expand the idea
Storyboard the idea
Assemble a crew
Get the cast together
Dress the set
Gather and test the equipment
Film the movie
Edit the film
Add sound effects and music
Create title sequence and credits
Export the film to a digital format

Editing gets initially done first, then  the sound effects and music added, it would then go fthrough many people to make sure the film is done the way it should be.
Films get released on different weekends leading up to certain dates, such as the weekend before Halloween scary films get released into the cinemas, however the producers may release on different weekends because of the sequels.

Trailers, bus ads, happy meals, trains, magazines, papers, cinemas, posters, billboards, people talking about it.
Before films even get thought about being made the writers will need to do market research and see what type of films are already on the market and what would appeal to the majority if the people, writers may choose to release films targeted to younger children such as cartoons in the holidays when the children are off school and have more freedom to go to the cinemas.
