Technology used: The visual effects house working on the film is France-based BUF Compagnie, Digital Domain worked on the visual effects as well, this is also a type of synergy. The effects were much inspired by Hubble photography and other images of deep space this means CGI was heavily used to represent the setting seeing as the film is set in a fictional world which is based around fantasy and mythological re-invention to make it seem modern. Furthermore CGI was used to immerse the consumer and to make the scenes more convincing this in addition makes the film more interesting. Finally seeing as Thor is a fictional 'superhero' all superheroes have special inhuman abilities and skills which make them the main warrior and the finest of all so the use of CGI was really necessary to bring out all of these special abilities in the main character Thor.
Distribution: The movie will go through standard release this type of release is the most common type. It is managed by a business model called "release windows" this strategy is used for keeping different instances from conflicting between each other this allows the movie to benefit from different markets such as cinema, home-video, TV, internet etc at different times, this means a few months after the movie is released in cinema it will be sold to consumers as a DVD or Blu-ray disc then onto internet based distributors of movies.
