In Fear

Release date  - 15th November

The director had an experience where he went on Holiday to Ireland and he got lost in a forest because the locals deliberately changed sign posts to confuse the non-locals visiting. With this in mind he decided to explore what would really happen if you really did get lost in a forest. The unique thing about the film is that it is completely improvised as the actors didn't know the story and were never given a script.

The director of the film is Jeremy Lovering who is a British director and is also known for directing television programmes such as Channel $s Teachers.

In Fear is produced by Nira Park and James Biddle. Parks is known for producing British lo budget horror and comedy films including Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead.

The production company behind the film is Big Talk Productions (founded by Nira Parks).

Distributor - Studio Canal - picked up for distribution at Sundance Festival.

The film was produced outside of a conglomerate and is an independent production. Funding was provided by Big Talk although the budget has not been released. Film4 is being used as part of the marketing for the film but there is no evidence as in whether or not they put their own input into the film itself. They don't appear to have put any funding into it.

Main actors - Alice Englert, Iain de Caestecker (who stars in S.H.I.E.L.D)

Technology used: The visual effects house working on the film is France-based BUF Compagnie, Digital Domain worked on the visual effects as well, this is also a type of synergy. The effects were much inspired by Hubble photography and other images of deep space this means CGI was heavily  used to represent the setting seeing as the film  is set in a fictional world which is based around fantasy and mythological re-invention to make it seem modern. Furthermore CGI was used to immerse the consumer and to make the scenes more convincing this in addition makes the film more interesting. Finally seeing as Thor is a fictional  'superhero' all superheroes have special inhuman abilities and skills which make them the main warrior and the finest of all so the use of CGI was really necessary to bring out all of these special abilities in the main character Thor.

Distribution: The movie will go through standard release  this type of release is the most common type. It is managed by a business model called "release windows" this strategy is used for keeping different instances from conflicting between each other this allows the movie to benefit from different markets such as cinema, home-video, TV, internet etc at different times, this means a few months after the movie is released in cinema it will be sold to consumers as a DVD or Blu-ray disc then onto internet based distributors of movies.

PRODUCTION: In June 2011, Walt Disney Studios set a July 26, 2013 release date for the Thor sequel with Chris Hemsworth reprising his role as the title hero.

In August 2011,Brian Kirk entered early negotiations to direct the Thor sequel for Marvel Studios and Disney.

In September 2011, Tom hiddleston confirmed he would return in the sequel, speculating that in the film, "[Loki will] have to take responsibility for what he’s done".In October 2011, Joshua Dallas, who portrayed Fandral, stated he planned to return to Asgard in the sequel.

On October 13, 2011, Disney moved the release date for the film to November 15, 2013 The same day Marvel confirmed that Jenkins would direct the sequel and Natalie Portman  would return to star.

  • The world premiere on October 22nd 2013 was in Leicester Square
  • 84% approval rating of 6.5/10
  • Planning to sell on DVD and Blu-Ray in 2014.

Ad Campaign for 'Mean Girls' Swede.

Mean Girls swede.

We made a swede of the film 'Mean Girls' we decided to do the scene where Cady meets the plastics at lunch. We also decided to film some of the most recognisable quotes within the film and got other people to help us with that.

To film this swede we used the filming room and the hallway of the college to film the part of the scene where the characters are walking up wearing heels.

Cast

Cady - Saheba Yasmin
Regina - Hollie Hutchins

Production, distribution, marketing an exhibition homework.

Make a story
Expand the idea
Storyboard the idea
Assemble a crew
Get the cast together
Dress the set
Gather and test the equipment
Film the movie
Edit the film
Add sound effects and music
Create title sequence and credits
Export the film to a digital format

Editing gets initially done first, then  the sound effects and music added, it would then go fthrough many people to make sure the film is done the way it should be.
Films get released on different weekends leading up to certain dates, such as the weekend before Halloween scary films get released into the cinemas, however the producers may release on different weekends because of the sequels.

Trailers, bus ads, happy meals, trains, magazines, papers, cinemas, posters, billboards, people talking about it.
Before films even get thought about being made the writers will need to do market research and see what type of films are already on the market and what would appeal to the majority if the people, writers may choose to release films targeted to younger children such as cartoons in the holidays when the children are off school and have more freedom to go to the cinemas.
